An actuary is a chap
Who’s good at math and stuff like that
A statistician to be more precise,
He works for companies that sell
Insurance to their clientele
And offers his employer such advice
As how to manage jeopardy
And risky possibilities
Using numbers to evaluate
Just how much the customer
Should pay to the insurer.
Premiums are what he calculates!
